HyperDOC is a Multimedia/Hypertext Resource of the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM). This site provides access to the National Library of Medicine and their databases, exhibits, and images. The library's Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System (MEDLARS), a pioneering effort in rapid on-line bibliographic retrieval, provides an avenue for preparing bibliographic publications such as Index Medicus, as well as access to online bibliographic retrieval. The site includes information on Intramural Programs, including the National Center for Biotechnology, the Visible Human Project and the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communication. The site contains links to information on extramural programs, and grants and contracts. It also provides visitor information and current events listings.
